Jake Coleman represents the third generation involved in Coleman Construction, a family business deeply rooted in the construction industry. Growing up in a small town with a one-room schoolhouse, Jake was extensively involved in his family’s construction company from an early age. Coleman Construction specialized in earth moving, horizontal jack and bore operations, and challenging projects that other companies often avoided. This diverse background provided Jake with valuable and extensive experience in various aspects of the construction industry.

In 2019, Jake acquired Big Sky Limited from Mike Sikoriski shortly after marrying his wife, Tiffany. At the time of acquisition, Big Sky was an oil field logistics company serving the Powder River Basin and surrounding states. The company managed a fleet of 65 owner-operator trucks, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to meet the logistical needs of oil field companies in the area. These services included moving rigs, transporting fresh water and flow back water, along with numerous other essential services for their clientele.

In 2021, Jake and Tiffany made a strategic decision to relocate to Idaho, seeking an opportunity to focus on family life while pursuing new business ventures. This move prompted a significant pivot in Big Sky’s operations. The company identified an underserved niche in the Pacific Northwest: large wood grinding and recycling services, which were in high demand due to stringent environmental regulations in the region.

The success of these new operations in wood grinding and recycling led Big Sky to further expand its service offerings. Leveraging Jake’s background in horizontal drilling and earthworks, the company began providing additional specialized construction services in the Pacific Northwest. This expansion allowed Big Sky to establish itself as a versatile and innovative player in the region’s construction and environmental services sectors.
